Linda Chenault
Design Director Women’s Apparel
Linda’s career began at the age of 18 when she moved to Dallas to attend the Fashion Merchandising College. While studying there, she also worked as an intern in the Federated Department stores and immediately started in the company’s executive training program and became the youngest buyer in their history for junior dresses.
Linda’s talent for design was evident immediately as she pioneered product development in junior dresses for Federated. After moving to Los Angeles for a job with another major retailer, her career shifted to the wholesale side of the fashion industry after she was recruited by one of her vendors to work as the head of their design department. Linda’s success in designing better sportswear and dresses inspired her to establish her own fashion labels, Chenault and Status by Chenault. These brands gained recognition in better specialty and department stores and her business continued to grow. In 2014 she decided to merge her company with Vesture Group to strengthen its financial and production capabilities.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Linda has a great passion for helping children. For over 30 years, she has volunteered with various youth groups, dedicating her time to caring for generations of children. Additionally, Linda enjoys traveling, hiking, Pilates and yoga.
